With, erm, classics ranging from Texas Hold 'Em, Poker and Chess to Backgammon, Darts and Snooker, you can choose to play alone or against up to seven friends using multi-cart or download play over local DS network. As though that weren't enough, Nintendo has taken a step further with the option to join the Wi-Fi Connection service to challenge players from around the globe!
With the DS' intuitive touch screen, playing is simple and easy to learn, meaning 42 All-Time Classics is suited to old hands and first-time players. In multi-player mode, that age old problem of quickfire banter between players is made simple with the inclusion of a PictoChat-like feature - just draw a picture or scribble a message to bluff and psyche your opponents, or just have a quick across-the-table chat.
With every game recording your achievements and providing statistics tracking, you can instantly see your wins as well as your losses, along with other in-game stats. So now there's no need to lug around a box of cards and boards, or even visit the local pool hall or bowling alley.
