Although it only aired for one season (1971-1972), television series The Persuaders! holds a permanent place in the pantheon of cult classics. In addition to its distinguished TV pedigree--producer Robert S. Baker (The Saint), screenwriters Terry Nation (Doctor Who) and Brian Clemens (The Avengers)--The Persuaders! also boasts an inspired, once-in-a-lifetime pairing of screen legends Tony Curtis and Roger Moore (in a pre-Bond role). Moore plays bored English aristocrat Lord Brett Sinclair; Curtis a brash, self-made millionaire from the Bronx named Danny Wilde.
